Soul Color Series
These oil paintings explore the color energy fields inherent in each of us. Within the space of a square I paint a person’s portrait emphasizing their individual soul color with all its inner power and vitality.
I am intrigued by the unseen facets of how we communicate in the world. How is it I ‘just know’ when someone is looking at me. Or when I have a hunch, a ‘gut’ feeling. It's because I am feeling their energy. I want to explore and remind of the energy that is around each of us all the time and how this energy informs our perspectives or the part it plays in making us who we are and how we are seen.
The figurative pose conveys connection and strength by carefully representing a direct gaze and by portraying expressive hand gestures of vulnerability and protection. Interconnecting the outer self with the color vibration of the inner self we come away with a glimpse of the amazing energetic system we possess with all its information and beauty.
